Important Updates for Ironworkers Local 67

Dear Member:

I hope you are doing well and staying safe. As we all continue dealing with the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak and spread, I want to briefly share updates and developments relating to the Local.

You may know about a new service available called Doctor on Demand®. You and your family may want to use this service to receive medical advice without having to go to a doctor's office, or to get clearance to return to work if required by an employer.

The Local has also updated its dues payment system. Dues can now be paid online.

With our meeting cancelled, the Local wants to make sure all of you receive the benefit of the $1.55 increase while we are unable to have a meeting to determine how to allocate it. As a result, effective May 1st, the $1.55 increase will be put on the wage rate for the time being. The Local plans to revisit whether to re-allocate this amount later this year once we are able to start having meetings again.

Please check our website regularly. The Local will continue to provide important and timely updates on our website. Also, as a reminder, the Local 67 Union Hall is still open for business over the phone, for the safety of our members and staff.

I hope these updates find you and your family well. The Local's focus remains on the safety and well-being of our members and their families at this time, but be assured that we are continuing to work to provide you and your family premium benefits and the most competitive wages in the state.

In solidarity,
James Watt

Effective, March 16, 2020, all insurance eligible Local 67 members will have access to virtual health care visits with no cost-share.

To avoid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we encourage you to take advantage of virtual visits with your current care physician, if you have this capability.

For those who don't currently have a primary care physician, please use Doctor on Demand®.

The cost-share for such visits, including those for mental health reasons, are waived for the next 90 days. At that time, we will reassess.

Visit: DoctorOnDemand.com/Wellmark

You will need to register as a patient, enter your insurance card information, and payment information (which will be waived a the end of your visit), and request an appointment.

If you have concerns about whether or not you or a family member is at high risk for getting sick, please visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) page on Higher Risk & Special Populations.

If you have any additional concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me @ 515-282-4293, or email.

Take care,
